Ignore threads or mark as read?

Post by Savannah »

I like using the "view unread posts" option to keep up with all the posts on here. However, there are a couple of threads that I'm just not interested in (sorry, fans of PAM/PBM threads). I was wondering if there was a way to either ignore those threads so that they wouldn't show up when I viewed my unread posts or if there was a way to simply mark them as read without actually opening them? I've not been able to find one, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist... (If not, no big -- I'll just keep opening them in a new tab and promptly closing them :P)

There's an option to 'Mark forums read' at the bottom of the main index page. You could use view unread to catch up on what you want, then when you're done, go back to the main index page and mark everything as read, that should get rid of them.

Anything more complicated than that will have to wait for the evil mastermind to wake up and get out of bed :P
Ummmm....

That works better than opening the threads and closing them!
